A dinner during one of our recent charters |
It took me a few weeks of trying out various recipies on our days off to find a bunch of foods that worked for us. It needed to 1) taste good 2) quick and easy to prepare and 3) could keep well on the boat (our fridge is a little more than an ice box...you can keep yogurt and cheese, but def. not ice cream).
Pinterest is one of the most used apps on my phone (besides Windfinder ;) ) - from cooking, décor, to you name it, they have a pin for it. A few of our favorite foods started from recipes that I found there. One that is a huge hit on charters is my Chicken Avocado Salad. It is a favorite of mine (of course it tastes amazing) and also works well on a boat - all of its ingredients keep til the end of a 5 or 7 day charter extremely well.
