Projects continue (up the mast to fix the roller furling jib)

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Adaptation is a way of life when you live aboard and especially when you do back to back turnarounds of charters. This week's adaptation was having a sleeve that helps guide the top of our roller furling jib fall apart making it near impossible to roll and unfurl our jib with guests.

We found a solution by cutting a slit up the side of a piece of head hose we had left over from a previous project and me inserting it on the interior of our furler. For good measure we also used duct tape to make sure it wasn't going anywhere... afterall, duct tape fixes everything, right?
It also made for so,e beautiful pictures of Blackwater Sound.
