My New Home

Moving back to Florida has been amazing and so needed.

After a few months of living in DC I quickly found out it was not the life for me. While I was there I met a ton of interesting people, learned a lot and helped advance my interior design career - becoming very efficient at designing kitchens, baths, and getting reacquainted with the design lingo.

After applying blindly on the internet for an interior design job in Florida, I landed one in Fort Myers, a place I had never visited before. I moved into a room of my new boss's friend's home where I stayed for a few weeks until I could find a place of my own. It was great meeting her and her family and being introduced by her to many community groups such as the Women of Fort Myers Community Club and Junior League.

It has also been great to meet new friends and come across long lost friends who are now within an hour or so drive. One including an old Sea Scout friend I lost touch with about 8 years ago or so when we each went off to college, who now works for NOAA in Tampa.
